    Arguably the first horror, fantasy, and science fiction movie-related magazine of its time, Famous Monsters of Filmland with its editor Forrest J Ackerman and publisher James Warren built a rabid following of fans for the genre from 1958-1983. Included are the February 1965, January 1966, December 1970, April 1971, March 1978, March 1979, March 1981, and June 1981 issues. These particular issues contain articles, pictures and behind the scenes insight on such films and big names as Star Wars, Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman, Friday the 13th: Part 2, The Mummy's Tomb, The Howling, Lon Chaney Sr., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Max von Sydow, Sam Jones, Flash Gordon, and many more. Unrestored magazines that display signs of use. May include edge or spine wear, creases, some paper loss, small paper lifts, tears, corner bumps, or light stains. Fine/Very Fine.
