    Dracula (1928). Fine/Very Fine. Oversize Theater Photo (11" X 14").
A vintage silver gelatin, double weight, glossy finish photo of Bela Lugosi as seen in his first iteration of Bram Stoker's dreaded Count in the wildly successful Broadway production. Lugosi garnered audiences' admiration for his portrayal and ran a stunning 261 performances on the Great White Way, followed by an equally acclaimed nationwide tour that helped him secure his place in Todd Browning's cinematic adaptation of the tale. Signs of use on this rare photo include mild edge wear, some creasing, small tears, and a corner chip. There are soft surface scuffs, faint smudges, a couple of very minor paper lifts in the lower left border, and a sliver of paper loss in the right border. There are strips of paper tape on the verso along the edges, as well as a few stickers, penciled writing, and ink stamps from Culver Pictures.
