Creature with the Blue Hand by Constantin Belinsky (Constantin Film, 1967). Fine/Very Fine. Signed Original Gouache Poster Artwork on Illustration Board (27" X 35.5").
This dramatic illustration by artist Constantin Belinsky is making its first ever appearance at Heritage auctions and can be found printed on original French grandes for the film. The story is based off of Edgar Wallace's novel of the same name and stars Harald Leipnitz, Klaus Kinski, Carl Lange, and Diana Körner, who is pictured in Belinsky's illustration. Done in gouache and signed by the artist in the lower right corner, the painting has some light edge wear and surface scuffs, which is most likely from the creation process. Also visible is smudging, unobtrusive stains, and some foxing. The colors are bright and the piece remains an excellent representation of Belinsky's work.
