DescriptionPsycho (Paramount, 1960). Italian 2 - Fogli (39.5" X 55").
Unlike many other countries, the Italian campaign for this Hitchcock classic took a more villainous angle when designing their posters, focusing on Anthony Perkins' deranged character instead of the terrorized Janet Leigh. Even better, this stark design alludes to Norman Bates' split personality, his multiple off-kilter images giving off a subtly unsettling feeling. Touchup has been applied to the folds, several pinholes in the borders and background, and a nick in the left border. Very Fine on Linen.
Estimate: $2,000 - $4,000.
