Photoplay (MacFadden, 1942). Magazine (8.5" X 11.5", Multiple Pages). Miscellaneous.A great photo of the legendary Bette Davis by Paul Hesse is featured on the cover of this March, 1942 issue. Some of the stand-out items in this particular edition are spectacular full page color photos of Veronica Lake as seen in Sullivan's Travels, James Cagney in his film Captains of the Clouds and Barbara Stanwyck in her sultry costume from Ball of Fire. Also of note is a five page pictorial of Gene Tierney in dresses designed by her husband at the time, Oleg Cassini, as well as in costumes from her film The Shanghai Gesture. An unrestored magazine that displays signs of use. May include light edge wear, very minor tears, or unobtrusive stains. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details.
