Photoplay Lot #1 (MacFadden Publications, 1950s). Magazines (7) (Multiple Pages, 8.5" X 11"). Miscellaneous.
Great issues of Photoplay magazine from March 1951, June 1951, July 1951, December 1951, December 1952, June 1953, and November 1953. The magazines feature great cover portraits of Betty Hutton, Piper Laurie, Doris Day, Ava Gardner, Janet Leigh, Betty Grable, and Ann Blyth. Inside each magazine are articles and photos of such stars as John Wayne, Frank Sinatra, Ingrid Bergman, Debbie Reynolds, Shelley Winters, Elizabeth Taylor, Barbara Stanwyck, and more. There are photos of Marilyn Monroe and a short article "Make It For Keeps" written by Marilyn Monroe. Unrestored magazines with an overall very presentable appearance. They may have tears, slight paper loss, creases, minor stains, spine and edge wear, and/or some cover separations. Each of the front covers has small pen annotations in its title, indicating where images and articles on a few of the stars can be found. Six of the magazines have address labels on their front covers. The March 1951 issue is missing its back cover and has additional pen annotations inside.
