    Umberto D. (Dear Film, 1952). Very Fine+ on Linen. Italian 4 - Fogli (55" X 78") Averardo Ciriello Artwork.
Considered one of the masterpieces of Italian neo-realist cinema, Vittorio De Sica's Umberto D. portrays an aging, retired civil servant struggling to survive on a limited pension, with only a pet dog for a companion. Forced out of his apartment, unable to pay the rent, he contemplates suicide by throwing himself under a train, as dramatically shown on this country of origin poster by artist Averardo Ciriello, which is being offered for the first time by Heritage. There has been light partial touchup to the folds and a couple of very minor tears.
