Lovers and Thieves (Gaumont, 1957). French Affiche (23.25" X 30.75").
In this witty crime comedy directed and written by Sacha Guitry, Michel Serrault plays a burglar who breaks into a not-so-deserted chateau and stumbles across a man (Jean Poiret) who asks him for help committing suicide. A complex tale of passion, betrayal, murder, and false accusations unfolds, balanced by the highly effective comedic talents of Serrault and Poiret. This French country-of-origin poster is a Heritage first, and shows only edge wear, smudging, light creases, and writing on the verso that does not show through to the front. Artwork by Guy Gerard Noel. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
