    Description

    Bellissima (CEI Incom, 1951). Italian 4 - Fogli (55" X 77"). Ercole Brini Artwork
Anna Magnani is the ultimate stage mother in director Luchino Visconti's only comedy. Magnani's Maddalena Cecconi is obsessed with movies and feels compelled to get her young daughter Maria (Tina Apicella) an audition with the famous director Alessandro Blasetti (who plays himself in the film). During the final scene of the film, Magnani mentions hearing Burt Lancaster onscreen. Four years later, she would win an Oscar for Best Actress for The Rose Tattoo, co-starring Lancaster. There are pinholes in the borders and background, a tear in the lower section where the two sections meet, chips in the corners, a couple of small stains and a paper lift in the upper background, and wear at the upper edge with upper corner chips. Beautiful artwork by Ercole Brini. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
