    Description

    Night and the City (20th Century Fox, 1950). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14"). Two-bit con man and hustler Harry Fabian (Richard Widmark) tries to score his ultimate meal-ticket by promoting and rigging a professional wrestling match in post-war London. Gene Tierney co-stars as his jaded girlfriend. Jules Dassin, the film's director, was one of the rising names in the film noir genre when he was named by the HUAC committee as a Communist and blacklisted from making any more pictures in Hollywood. This lobby card set has the slightest bit of edge wear, and one corner bump. Great shots from the film, with Widmark, Tierney and Googie Withers prominently featured. Near Mint/Mint.
