Journey into Fear (Union Film, 1950). First Post-War Release Italian 2 - Foglio (39" X 55").
Orson Welles and Joseph Cotton adapted Eric Ambler's tense war/noir novel about a U.S. Navy engineer who suddenly and mysteriously finds himself being relentlessly pursued by Nazi agents. Mr. Welles, as part of his termination agreement with RKO, recut the final reel, shot additional scenes, added the famous Joseph Cotton voice-over, and inserted the pre-title sequence. Needless to say, the final results were worth the effort. Latin screen siren Delores del Rio plays a nightclub dancer, and joins Cotton here on this very rare Italian 2-foglio designed by Franco Fiorenzi. The poster displays admirably after touchup to pinholes in the borders, small chips at the cross folds, folds, and borders. Fine+ on Linen.
