    I Am A Fugitive From A Chain Gang (Warner Brothers, 1932). Lobby Card (11" X 14"). Warner Bros. managed an impressive feat with its "problem pictures." While claiming to draw public attention to social ills like gangsters and chain gangs, the films also managed to exploit their subjects for lurid entertainment, allowing the audience a vicarious thrill into the activities it collectively condemns. While this film helped bring an end to Georgia's chain gang system, the film's financial success also saved the studio. This lobby card looks very clean, with sharp color brightly giving life to the action shot. Only one tiny dirt smudge lies in the bottom border, and there's a slight dulling of the corners. Near Mint-.
