Double Indemnity (Paramount, 1944). Australian One Sheet (27" X 40"). Billy Wilder's riveting gift to the film noir genre found Fred MacMurray as an insurance agent who falls in love with a socialite and then plots with her to kill her husband. There are pinholes in the corners and light foxing spots on the borders. There is also very light staining at the centerpoint. While the art is similar to the US one sheet, this poster features a blazing red background; much more appropriate for the tawdry atmosphere of the film than pink. Fine+.
