    Description

    Detour (PRC, 1945). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Known for his unusual films like The Black Cat, director Edgar G. Ulmer created this yarn about a pianist (Tom Neal) who hitch-hikes to LA to see his girlfriend. Along the way he picks up Ann Savage, a blackmailing she-devil who takes him on a descent into hell, creating one of the greatest film noirs ever made. The black and white striped motif edging the background is a ingenious creative touch, the simulated "detour" sign instantly catching the eye of any passerby. An excellent piece in great condition, slight touchup has been applied only to the folds and pinholes in the border. Very Fine on Linen.
