    Description

Casablanca (Warner Brothers, 1942). Half Sheet (22" X 28"). Style A. During the WW II years, Warner Brothers would produce the vast majority of their posters in two colors to conserve expenses. For Casablanca, arguably one of the greatest if not the greatest film ever made, many of the posters were printed in tones of red and black. For this stunning half sheet, they decided to go full color with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman locked in an embrace as the war threatens to sweep away their love. This style half sheet is identical to the title card and is one of the most important and popular movie posters ever produced. Did we mention that it's rare too? We only know of one other copy of this half sheet to surface in the last twenty years. This copy may be the best in existence as it is rolled with only minor wear and smudging evident around the edges. The interior of the graphics show a few very minor crimps and some very light smudges that do not take away from the visual impact of this poster. Rolled, Very Fine+ condition.
