    Description

The Wizard of Oz (MGM, 1945). Fine- on Linen. First Release Spanish One Sheet (27.5" X 39").
Heritage is proud to make its first presentations of this beautiful Spanish one sheet for The Wizard of Oz, which, perhaps more than any other film, has proved impervious to time. This wonderful picture has delighted generations of children, both young and old, for over six decades. Judy Garland brings to life Dorothy Gale, the child in all of us, who yearns to escape to a perfect place over the rainbow. Along her way to the magical land of Oz, Dorothy encounters a host of unforgettable characters: the clever Scarecrow, the sentimental Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, witches both good and bad, and the wonderful Wizard of Oz. Benefitting from professional restoration, this lovely poster has received repairs to edge and fold wear, pinholes, creasing, and tears. There were small chips at the edges, in addition to scattered chipping and paper loss in the lower border extending from the bottom of the Tin Man's image into Victor Fleming's credit. The poster has mild unaddressed color fading, however the yellow background has been airbrushed. The linen is trimmed to the edge of the poster and not into the poster itself.
