    The Wizard of Oz (MGM, 1939). Very Good/Fine on Paper. Insert (14" X 36"). Al Hirschfeld Title Artwork.
    Once in a great while, a film comes along whose magic and wonderment stand the test of time, delighting generations of children and adults alike. The Wizard of Oz is indisputably that rare kind of picture, with its endearing characters that audiences can't help but adore. Heritage is thrilled to offer this insert featuring portraits of the lead characters, Judy Garland as Dorothy, Ray Bolger as the Scarecrow, Jack Haley as the Tin Man, Bert Lahr as the Lion and Frank Morgan as the Wizard. The block lettering of the title has wonderful Al Hirschfeld artwork. Display-ready due to exceptional restoration, this poster no longer shows such issues as fold wear and separation, a vertical fold, creasing, and pinholes. There were tears at the borders, some of which extended into the interior, as well as small chips at the edges. The poster also once had paper loss at the top extending into the upper half of Dorothy and the Wizard's images. The borders, some of the credit text, and parts of the yellow background have been airbrushed. Very Good/Fine on Paper.
