The Thief of Bagdad (United Artists, 1924). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Douglas Fairbanks stars in one of the greatest fantasy films ever made. In this magical tale, he competes against three other suitors for the hand of the daughter of the Caliph of Bagdad. Fairbanks was known for his athletic ability and it was on full display as he performed his own stunts in this Raoul Walsh film. The colors are so bright and the quality of the paper is so fine that it is absolutely stunning to see in person. There was a minor tear in the upper border and a very tiny chip out of the center point in the sky. These very minor flaws have been repaired through restoration. Otherwise, this poster is about as good as a poster can be. These minor flaws kept it from a Near Mint grade. The poster certainly appears better than the Very Fine+ we're giving it and we have no doubt that this has to be the finest copy in existance.
