Description

One Million Years B.C. (Associated British-Pathé, 1966). British Quad (30" X 40").
Astonishingly rare, this country of origin British quad is an absolute must have. Besides featuring the devastatingly gorgeous, fur bikini-clad Raquel Welch, this prehistoric-era epic boasted some fairly outstanding special effects, by none other than the great Ray Harryhausen. Robert Brown, who plays Akhoba in the movie, would go on to succeed Bernard Lee as "M" in the James Bond films, and two-time "Bond Girl" Martine Beswick also appears in this picture. In the highly competent hands of artist Tom William Chantrell, Ms. Welch strikes a pose that would make her the poster girl of the 1960s. Besides iconic artwork and eye-catching electric pink lettering, the poster had pinholes in the corners, bottom edge wear, tape stains in the top and bottom border, smudging in the top section, and a tear along the horizontal fold with archival tape on the verso. The poster has been professionally restored and now display very well. Fine+ on Linen.
