La Belle et la Bête (DisCina, 1946). French Grande (47" X 63"). When Jean Cocteau directed "La Belle et la Bete" (Beauty and the Beast) in 1946, he was known primarily as a poet and a painter. After the film was released he instantly became one of the finest French directors of his era. As it stands today "La Belle et la Bete" is still one of the best French films ever made. This is the original release French Grande for this film with the magnificent art by Jean-Denis Malcles. The poster is mounted on linen, and is in superb condition, with just minor cross fold touch up. The linen has been trimmed to the edge of the poster.
