    Description

    Faust (UFA,1926). Very Fine-. German Program (40 Pages, 6.25" X 8.75") & German Portrait Photo (8" X 10").
Cinematic genius F. W. Murnau was one of Germany's most important directors during the 1920s. Best known as the director of Nosferatu, he also filmed an early version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and the brilliant character study Der Letzte Mann, as well as this stunning adaptation of the Faust legend. The country of origin program offered here features the famous artwork for the film by Karl Michel, resembling a medieval woodcut print, and is accompanied by a vintage gelatin silver, double weight, glossy finish portrait photo of Murnau. Both items are making their first appearances at Heritage. In great shape, the program shows little wear on the interior pages, aside from minor corner bends. The covers show light spine wear, a minute corner chip, and a small tear at the spine on the verso. The photo of Murnau has mild edge wear, corner bends, light surface scuffs, smudges, and unobtrusive stains. There is a rounded top right corner, and the verso has several instances of writing and ink stamps. Very Fine-.
