Whirlpool (Columbia, 1934). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14"). Columbia's 1934 drama stars Jack Holt as a shifty carnival promoter, incarcerated just after learning that his wife is pregnant. Released 20 years later, he is anxious to make contact with his daughter (Jean Arthur, luminous and endearing), who knows nothing of his existence. The title card has a few small smudges, pinholes, and light toning. Five of the scene cards have pinholes, rounded corners, and light toning. The other two cards also have some slightly enlarged pinholes, and a few smudges. These great varnished finish cards are colorful and bright. Overall, this set grades as Fine.
