The Roaring Road (Paramount, 1919). One Sheet (28" X 41.75").
Early film idol Wallace Reid plays a car salesman and amateur race car driver who is manipulated into breaking a racing record by his scheming employer, portrayed by Theodore Roberts. Ann Little plays Reid's sweetheart and Robert's daughter with James Cruze directing. The film, based off of several newspaper short stories by Byron Morgan, became so popular that the studio produced a 1920 sequel, Excuse My Dust. This was one of the last films Reid worked on before his life-altering injury in a train wreck and subsequent morphine addiction. Never before offered at Heritage, this lovely stone litho one sheet has restoration to fold wear with small chips, pinholes, some tears into the interior, and paper loss in the borders. The borders have been airbrushed, and the right border was once trimmed and has since been replaced. Fine on Linen.
