Description

The Red Danube (MGM, 1949). Australian Daybill (13" X 30"). Shortly after WWII, Colonel 'Hooky' Nicobar (Walter Pidgeon) is assigned to repatriate Russian citizens back to the Soviet Union out of Vienna, even the unwilling ones. When ballerina Maria Buhlen (Janet Leigh) applies for asylum, Nicobar's convictions are put to the test. This Australian daybill has a slight corner crease, and some small stains. Exquisite stone litho artwork of Pidgeon, Leigh and co-stars Ethel Barrymore, Peter Lawford and Angela Lansbury. Very Fine+.
