Director John Ford earned an Academy Award for his work on this taut film about political unrest in Dublin during the Sinn Fein rebellion, based on the novel by Liam O'Flaherty. The picture features an impressive and talented cast, including Victor McLaglen (who would also take home an Oscar for the film), Wallace Ford, Heather Angel, Preston Foster, Margot Grahame, and Una O'Connor. This is the first time Heritage has offered this very scarce three sheet format, which features fantastic artwork by Frederic C. Madan. It has been conserved to address fold wear, pinholes into the interior, tears and small chips in the borders and folds, and bits of paper loss in the background. The borders have been airbrushed, and there may have been a slight bit of trimming at the edges in the lower panel. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
