The Great Lie (Warner Brothers, 1941). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Stars Bette Davis and Mary Astor were reportedly unhappy with the quality of the original screenplay for this intense melodrama, so they rewrote the script together, and submitted it to director Edmund Goulding, who used much of their rewritten work in the final version. The result is a silver screen triumph for all concerned. This fabulous one sheet shows pinholes in the corners, some minor crossfold separation, light foxing, and minor edge wear, but these are minor concerns that do little to detract from the strong central image.
