The Devil Dancer (United Artists, 1927). Trimmed Window Card (14" X 22").
Gilda Gray, the girl who created the late-'20s dance craze "The Shimmy," plays the provocatively underdressed title character in this lost film, The Devil Dancer. She takes on the role of Takia, a white girl brought up in a remote Lamasery. English explorer Clive Brook discovers this obscure stronghold and vows to rescue Gray from the place. Skilled conservation to this beautiful Heritage first has corrected a couple of chips in the bottom border, a diagonal crease, a strip of paper loss near the left border, and has airbrushed the borders and verso. There was uneven paper loss across the upper background, extending into Gilda Gray's hand, with a tear in the upper left. Very Good with added paper.
