    Description

Our Blushing Brides (MGM, 1930). Rotogravure One Sheet (27" X 41").
Paper for this romantic drama is incredibly scarce, and this is only the second time Heritage has offered this dazzling rotogravure style one sheet. After their huge successes with Our Dancing Daughters and Our Modern Maidens, rising stars Joan Crawford and Anita Page unite for a third time, in this hit MGM production, along with pal Dorothy Sebastian. All three girls find love, romance, and heartache as they make their way in New York City as showgirls working in a high end department store. Frequent co-star Robert Montgomery is the lucky man who wins the heart of the vivacious Joan. This very rare, art-deco inspired one sheet, featured in the book MGM Posters on page 73, was made using the rotogravure process which was in vogue at the time, and gave the designers ample opportunity to include multiple images of the popular rising star. The poster had 1" of paper missing from three borders, a small hole at the top right, a tear in the upper right that extends into the artwork, a bottom right and left background tear and fold wear. There was some color enhancement to even out the sepia tone throughout. Expert restoration has addressed these signs of handling, leaving one amazing looking piece. For fans of Crawford, this is a rare opportunity to obtain a spectacular item from her early career. Very Good+ on Linen.
