    Magnificent Obsession (Universal, 1935). Three Sheet (41" X 79.5").
Robert Taylor gave his breakout performance in Magnificent Obsession, as an alcoholic playboy who inadvertently causes the death of an elderly doctor. Irene Dunne plays the doctor's wife, who becomes blinded in an accident. Taylor reforms and spends years becoming a brain surgeon, all in the hopes of restoring Dunne's sight and atoning for his checkered past. Douglas Sirk helmed the 1954 remake with Rock Hudson and Jane Wyman, but many consider this 1935 adaptation to be the definitive cinematic production of Lloyd C. Douglas' original novel. This beautiful three sheet is the first of its format to be offered by Heritage, and features wonderful portraits of the stars. The poster itself shows slight fold wear and separation, creasing, misfolds, small tears, unobtrusive paper lifts, and mild toning in the borders. There is cellophane tape on the verso, which has also been used to reaffix a chip in the top border. The poster's three panels have been attached with adhesive. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
