Grand Hotel (MGM, 1932). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14"). MGM pulled out all the stops in the first of their star-studded features. This film won the Best Picture Oscar the year of its release, and was a tremendous money maker. There was scepticism initially that by putting all of their stars in one picture, Greta Garbo, John and Lionel Barrymore, Joan Crawford, Wallace Beery that they (the studio) might lose money, instead of spreading the stars out over 5 or 6 pictures. With its financial and critical success, the way was open to produce many similar films. This lovely title card is a very rare commodity in the poster collecting hobby, as is anything from the original release of this film. Very Good+ with replaced borders.
