Dangerous (Warner Bros., 1935). Very Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Heritage has offered very little in the way of original paper for this classic Bette Davis picture over the years, with this poster being the first one sheet we have ever presented for the title! Davis had created a stir in Hollywood with her powerful portrayal of Mildred Rogers the year prior in Of Human Bondage, and her performance in Dangerous as a self-destructive actress only solidified her stardom when she won her first Best Actress Oscar in 1936. A gorgeous image of Davis with costar Franchot Tone graces this beautiful poster, which also happens to be in beautiful condition. There has been some light partial touchup applied to the folds and few minor tears, and the poster has a couple of faint smudges in the borders. The linen has been trimmed near the borders and approaches the edge of the paper in some places, but this does not appear to extend into the poster itself. Very rare, this wonderful and vibrant piece would look excellent on display in any collection.
