    Description

    Citizen Kane (RKO, R-1956). Three Sheet (41.25" X 79.75").
    Thought by many to be the greatest film ever made. Told through newsreels and flashback interviews with the people closest to Kane, the film peels off layer after layer of his life until all that remains is a bitter, lonely man. Based on the life of William Randolph Hearst, Kane is one of the most fascinating characters in all of cinema history. This is the 1956 reissue three sheet, which Heritage has not previously sold, and that shares the same imposing head shot of Orson Welles as the illustrious Kane. The borders have been airbrushed to correct paper loss, and touchup applied to a tear in the bottom border into the RKO logo and small chips along the folds. There is a post-restoration stain in the upper left, and a crease on the bottom left. None of these signs of handling deter from the importance of this piece, an excellent addition to any well conceived collection. Fine+ on Linen.
