    Description

    Citizen Kane (RKO, R-1956). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
    Citizen Kane tells the purposely incomplete story of Charles Foster Kane, from the falling snow globe and utterance of his mysterious final word "Rosebud" to the revelation of the sled that tells us what the word was, but not its significance. Told through newsreels and flashback interviews with the people closest to Kane, the film peels off layer after layer of his life until all that is left is the bitter, lonely man who remained. Based on William Randolph Hearst, Kane is one of the most fascinating characters in all of cinema history. This is the 1956 re-issue set of lobby cards, complete with the original envelope that the cards came in. Cards #1, #2, #5, and #8 have tape stains in the bottom border, one card has pinholes in the corners, and all cards show a top left corner crease. Fine/Very Fine.
