Description

All American (Universal International, 1953). Half Sheet (22" X 28"). Tony Curtis stars in this loose remake of the 1931 Richard Barthelmess film of the same name. Curtis plays a college football star whose parents are killed in a traffic accident while taking a bus trip to see him play, so he quits football cold. When he accepts a scholarship at a small college, he still refuses to resume his gridiron activities -- at least for a while. Lori Nelson plays his love interest, while Mamie Van Doren does what Mamie Van Doren usually does. This half sheet has some staining in the borders, some fold-line and cross-fold wear and separation and a tape mark in the top border. The poster brightly displays Curtis' romantic image, though. Fine+.
