A Sainted Devil (Paramount, 1924). Fine+ on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41").
Heritage has only once before had the pleasure to offer another copy of this beautiful stone litho one sheet over ten years ago! Rudolph Valentino will forever be remembered as Hollywood's original "Latin Lover," a term coined specifically for him by studio executives. Known for his smoldering good looks and dashing onscreen persona, Valentino became the biggest heartthrob in motion pictures. Thus, he was a good choice of leading man for this adaptation of Rex Beach's Argentinean romance, Rope's End. Unfortunately, the film has been lost over the years, with only its posters and other promotional materials available to give us glimpses of the movie. Partial restoration on this gorgeous poster has applied corrections to fold wear and separation, pinholes, surface wear, and faint toning. Also addressed were slight stains, minor chips, and a few tears. The right side and bottom borders were once trimmed and have since been replaced. The linen has been trimmed close to the borders and the poster presents very well.
