    Description

    A Farewell to Arms (Paramount, 1932). Autographed Lobby Card (11" X 14").
This beautiful portrait card shares a similar central image with the rare style A one sheet, a dark and moody close-up of the tumultuous couple. The volatile relationship between Catherine the nurse (Helen Hayes) and Fredric the soldier (Gary Cooper) even produced commotion in the censor's office, which forced omission of details of Catherine's childbirth from the original script. Signed "Helen Hayes," this lobby card shows only minor imperfections that include faint stains in the borders, a small tear in left border, a tiny chip in the right border and a faint chalk mark in the center. Fine+.
