The Great Mexican War & Other Lot (El Paso Film Company, 1914). Three Sheet (41" X 81") & Poster (21" X 28"). Documentary.
Starring Pancho Villa, José Inés Salazar, and Charles A. Pryor. Directed by Charles A. Pryor. Included with the stone litho three sheet for The Great Mexican War, is a poster advertising a nickelodeon documentary with updates from the Mexican Revolution. It reads "Mexico At War and Peace," and was produced by The Francis-Valentino Company around 1914, as well. Unrestored items which may display signs of some age and use. The nickelodeon poster is in the better shape of the two, showing only slight edge and fold wear, light fold separation, small tears, minor paper loss, and signs of mild edge toning. The three sheet has additional creases and stains, along with brass grommets in the upper corners. It has been backed on linen and subsequently folded, resulting in significant tearing, chipping, and separation in the folds and borders. The linen is also beginning to fray around the edges. It is most likely in need of some degree of work or restoration. Please see full-color, enlargeable images above for more details. Folded, Overall Grade: Good/Very Good on Linen.
