The Godfather Part III (Paramount, 1990). Original Concept Art Produced on Pantone Paper Placed on Foam Core (Poster: 16.75" X 26", Board: 20.5" X 30").
Although never used in any of the final advertisements, this bold piece of concept art is a brilliant encapsulation of everything that makes Francis Ford Coppola's Godfather trilogy so great. Perhaps considered too edgy or sacrilegious for its time, this cross-shaped litany of vices and virtues, all controlled by Neil S. Fujita's famous marionette strings at the top, is an excellent item for fans of the series. The piece is produced on Pantone paper using skillfully placed Letraset overlay as was often done in this time period. The Pantone paper is just bearly adhered to the foam core and can be removed. It shows creasing, mild surface indentations, and some small stains. The paper has partially detached from the board. Fine/Very Fine on Board.
