Description

San Quentin (Warner Brothers, 1937). Insert (14" X 36").
Humphrey Bogart stars as Joe Kennedy, a con sent up for robbery who becomes aware that a prison guard (perennial good guy Pat O'Brien) has fallen in love with his sister (Ann Sheridan). Bogart breaks out of San Quentin just so he can put a stop to the romance. Bogart made an entire career by playing gangsters during the last half of the 1930s and this was one of the best. This poster is amazing for its sleek design, utilizing a stark graphic of the prison life by depicting a chain motif. Touchup to the folds and creases is slightly visible. Fine+ on Linen.
