Deadline, U.S.A. (20th Century Fox, 1952). Italian (39" X 55"). Richard Brooks had modeled the character of the crusading newspaper editor on Joseph Pulitzer and demanded that Fox cast Bogart in the role. Zanuck, at Fox pictures, felt Bogart was an unwise choice since he had had his own trouble with HUAC. For that reason alone, it was decided that the studios should cast Bogart and stand against censorship in Hollywood. This fantastic poster by F. Ridolfi, makes this 2 folio the best poster created for this important picture. It has pinholes in the corners and edges, a three-inch tear in Bogart's blue jacket and minor tears in Bogart's hair.
