DescriptionCreature from the Black Lagoon (Universal International, 1954). Fine/Very Fine on Cardstock. Autographed Window Card (14" X 22") Reynold Brown Artwork.
One of Universal's most popular monsters got a late start in the game; not appearing in films until 1954. His impact was huge at the box office and he would inspire two sequels over the next couple of years. This was a 3-D picture and this particular window card is the 2-D version. Richard Carlson and Julia Adams find themselves threatened by the Gilman himself as they explore his underwater cave. Prior to being remounted on card stock, the poster had a horizontal tear on the left going just under the Creature's neck and into the letter "t" in Creature. The card has had this professionally corrected and now presents very clean. It also features two signatures; The first from the film's director Jack Arnold and the other by Whit Bissell, one of the doctors on the Amazonian expedition to find the Creature.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
