German director Ernst Lubitsch arrived in Hollywood in the 1920s, already an internationally respected master of comedy and drama. His reputation grew immensely at Paramount, and during the 1930s, he created some of his most memorable romantic comedies. Among those is this Miriam Hopkins, Herbert Marshall, and Kay Francis gem, where Marshall and Hopkins play sophisticated jewel thieves who team up to con a perfume heiress (Francis). Full of witty dialogue and clever innuendos, this delightful comedy is a real treasure. A first time offer from Heritage, this lovely stone litho moyenne has been backed on linen with no touchup applied, showing only some small pinholes in the borders and a small tear near the bottom right corner.
