Description

The Vagabond (Export & Import, R-1920s). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Charlie Chaplin made this, his third picture with Mutual Film in 1916. The movie had a slightly more serious storyline, allowing the king of silent comedy to display his dramatic skills as well. Chaplin plays a street musician who saves a down trodden girl (Edna Purviance) from life in a gypsy camp. All of the Mutual shorts were sold for exhibition by independents shortly after they were originally released, and offered here is an exquisite stone litho re-release poster. In fine condition with only left edge wear, fold wear, cross fold separation, a chip in the top right corner and bottom left border, and small paper loss at the top and bottom horizontal fold. Fine+.
