    Description

The Three Stooges in Calling All Curs (Columbia, 1939). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Always in short supply, Three Stooges paper is constantly sought after by comedy collectors, but this title in particular is an exceptionally rare find. Only sold once before by Heritage back in 2008, this short is an excellent example of the trio at their best, and is also one of Curly Howard's most favorite skits as an avid dog lover. The second of many Stooge shorts directed by Jules White, Calling All Curs is filled to the brim with zany hijinks, excellently timed slapstick, and some of the most wonderfully groan-worthy puns ever filmed. This poster is essential for any Stooges or comedy collector, don't let this opportunity pass you by! Professional restoration has addressed pinholes in the background, tears in the borders that reach into the background, misfolding and tears in the folds, and paper loss along the vertical fold, including Curly's image. The borders and the upper text "3 Stooges" has been airbrushed, and the linen has been trimmed to the border. There is some minor separation of the poster from the masa paper in the right top and bottom corners. Fine- on Linen.
