The Seven Year Itch (20th Century Fox, 1955). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Few scenes in movie history are as indelible as that of Marilyn Monroe trying valiantly to maintain her modesty as her white dress swirls up around her. That's just one of the memorable scenes from this classic film in which a well-meaning man (Tom Ewell) packs his wife and kids off for a summer vacation, vowing to himself that he'll behave while they're gone. That vow is tested to the limit when blonde bombshell Monroe moves into the apartment next door, and proceeds to rock Ewell's world! The film premiered on June 1, 1955, Monroe's 29th birthday, and has remained a cherished part of cinematic history ever since. The lovely one sheet offered here shows pinholes in the corners and the borders, an extra vertical crease along the edges, and an extra crease in the center of the poster. These are minor considerations, however, and do little to detract from the enormous appeal of this perennially popular poster. Fine/Very Fine.
