    Description

    The Bank Dick (Universal, 1940). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style D.
Our first Style D one sheet for this comic classic in five years! Always highly prized for its terrific animation style caricature drawings, it features comedic genius W.C. Fields as Egbert Souse, a man supporting his family by winning radio contests. He happens to be sitting on a park bench when a fleeing bank robber trips and is knocked cold. Proclaimed a hero, Souse is offered a job as a security guard of the bank. The fun starts when Fields gets involved in a shady stock deal that involves "borrowing" funds from the bank. There are pinholes in the corners, borders, and center image. The top and bottom vertical folds have small tears, there are light creases in the right and left borders, and clear tape on the crossfold on the verso. Nothing that couldn't be easily addressed. Don't wait another five years...we probably won't have one! Fine/Very Fine.
