    Description

    Stan Laurel Photo Lot #2 (Various, 1920s-1960s). Photos (14) (4" X 5", 5" X 7", 7.5" X 9.5", 8" X 10"). Comedy.
Vintage gelatin silver, double and single weight, glossy and matte finish photos of Stan Laurel from his early days to his later years. Included are portrait photos of Laurel and his wife, Mae, from when they performed together on stage in the early 1920s; and a photo of him with his third wife, Vera, who he married in 1938. There are also photos from his film work, including a fun Christmas photo for Pathe of him dressed as a comic chef. This lot also includes a photo of Stan Laurel with Charlton Heston, receiving a Screen Actors Guild Honorary Award in 1963. Unrestored photos with an overall very presentable appearance. They may have tears, slight paper loss, pinholes, toning, edge wear, light creases, surface wear, and/or corner bumps or bends. There are marks on the photo of Stan and his wife Vera, which were made for use in a newspaper. The Christmas photo from Pathe has a fold out typed studio snipe attached on its verso. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Fine.
