Eddie Cantor was one of America's most beloved comics. Ali Baba Goes to Town, showcases Eddie as a hobo who falls asleep on the set of an "Arabian Nights" movie shoot. He dreams himself into the fantasy of genies and flying carpets and proceeds to reform the Arabian experience along the lines of American democracy. The film becomes a hilarious spoof on New Deal democracy and welfare programs. This 40" X 60" is one of the prettiest silk screens to be made for one of Fox Studio's pictures.
