A League of Their Own (Columbia, 1992). Very Fine-. Autographed Baseball & Signed Final Shooting Script (Multiple Pages, 8.5" X 11").
Originally belonging to the film's production mixer, Les Lazarowitz, offered for the first time at Heritage is a black leather baseball signed in golden metallic ink by several cast and crew members of A League of their Own. Autographs found on the ball include director Penny Marshall, Tom Hanks, Madonna, Geena Davis, Rosie O'Donnell, Robin Knight, Tracy Reiner, Janet Jones Gretzky, Neezer Tarleton, original league player and technical advisor "Pepper" Prairie Davis, among others. A final shooting script by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel, which was signed by Lazarowitz as his personal copy, is also featured in this lot, consisting of a bradded spine, studio covers, numerous rainbow revision pages, and a signed letter from Lazarowitz concerning the autographed baseball. Overall, the baseball presents well and has only light surface scuffs and a few smudges in the autographs. The script shows such indications of us of mild edge and spine wear, a few creases, small tears, and some staining and surface rippling, particularly in the white pages.
