Toy Story 2 by Drew Struzan (Buena Vista, 1999). Very Fine/Near Mint. Signed Original Concept Artwork in Pencil on Illustration Board (30" X 22").
The masterful Drew Struzan took inspiration from two of cinema's most iconic images for this great piece of concept art, referencing both Tom Jung's Style A Star Wars one sheet and the image of a lounging James Dean from Giant. Offered for the first time at Heritage, this graphite drawing contains several fan favorite characters from Pixar's popular Toy Story series, including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex, Ham, and a whole slew of others. Struzan has worked on illustrations for countless films and franchises, being a favorite artist of George Lucas, Jim Henson, and Steven Spielberg. Fans of his art span the globe, and opportunities to own his original pieces are exceedingly rare. This beautiful and humorous graphite drawing has only small corner bumps and a faint stain a the top right edge. Any other smudges are from the production process. Collectors should be delighted to own such a fantastic illustration as this, especially as it is signed in the lower right corner and has Struzan's official stamps on the verso.
